Callaway Apex Pro Serial Number 5,0/5 4930 reviews

There is no engraved serial number on the Apex irons. The 8 Iron would have had a sticker on the shaft above the hosel with the set serial number on it, there would / should also have been a holographic sticker just below the grip which states it is a genuine Callaway product and do not remove it. On iron sets, Ping puts the serial number on all clubs. On the newer drivers and fairway woods the serial numbers are on the sole of the club back toward the hosel. Www.ping.com 1-800-474-6434. Final Notes on Serial Numbers: Most manufacturers do not offer a way for you to verify whether or not a serial number is authentic. Callaway Golf wants you to be fully satisfied with every item you purchase. If you are not satisfied with the item you have purchased, you may return it within 30 days of delivery for a full refund of the product price. This does NOT include expedited shipping, handling, or any customization charges that may have been assessed.

just received a callaway x hot pro driver in the post.
won an ebay bid for £155
opened the box and the head still has the plastic on, separated plastic bag with headcover in, callaway torque wrench and booklet in another bag.
took the plastic off the head and no serial number.
shaft is a fujikura motore speeder tour spec 6.2 and this is real
Have i bought a dud?
read some reviews where callaway drivers can be real without serials
i have emailed the seller asking for receipts etc

Probably real. We called Callaway about a 3 Deep in a retail store that didn't have a serial. Callaway stated that certain lofts had serial numbers and other lofts didn't. (I can't remember which lofts had the serials)

    cheers
i had a reply from the seller, says he gets all his callaway gear direct from Chessington in the uk where callaway is based. Says it was a special order with the tour spec 6.2 speeder shaft and they don't always put serials on special orders. he sent me several emails and stated over and over it was a legit driver. he has 100% feedback so i'll give him a chance. going to try it out tomorrow

Easiest way to be sure is to take the grip off. It should have a proper Fujikura shaft label on it. I very much doubt anyone would be dumb enough to put a real 6.2 in a fake head.
Also, even the serial-number-free stuff should have one of those hologram stickers on the shaft (though if it's second hand that could have been removed.)

Took the club to the range yesterday. 100 balls. Impressed with the club, sound was good. Distance, ball flight, dispersion was good.
Slightly higher ball flight to my 910d3. But that is why I bought it. Shaft is very stable. Low spin
it's a good fake!!! If it is fake

I believe all driver heads should have a serial number. That is the only way for Callaway to check production date for warranty.
The internet is full of fakes as you know and I have personally seen many fake speeder shafts walk in the door.
The paint is off in color and the diameter and taper of the shaft is way off. Pull the grip and if you see a $ sticker it is fake.

Most likely real, I received my X Hot Pro 3wood in early January & didn't have a serial # which isn't uncommon. When I got my FT Optiforce 440 drivers in early August one had a TC serial # when the other didn't only shaft bands, seems like it happens more with the new early release clubs that don't have serial #'s. You see a lot of tour Razr Fit & FT Tour heads with no serial #'s, good example is my FT 5 TH (Tour Hosel) driver with no serial # just a shaft band with an 'H' on the hosel indicating HCG when the other FT 5 HCG drivers had the 'H' in the orange circle that indicated fade/neutral/draw.

Not really. I have two RAZR FIT heads. one in the gamer bag and one in the car range bag.
Both are identical in every aspect. Only difference is only one has a serial number.

Grey market head with real shaft..check the specs, it could be off. Real callaway head will never sold without serial number, especially on woods product.

Not true. For example, most 'fitting cart' heads dont have a SN, either did the clu8bs which were built for me right on site at ECPC.
here's some more info (directly off Callaway's site):
The serial numbers for Callaway clubs are located on the heels of their clubheads near the hosel. Please note that the serial number for a set of Callaway irons will only be on the clubhead of the 8 iron. Additionally, at this time Callaway is only serializing the 3 woods and 3H hybrids in our fairway wood and hybrid lines.

Any retailer selling legit callaway will or should have serial number, even a custom order. Demo or fitting club are not for sale.
Lots of guy on the bay or Internet bought grey heads only from China and installed the real shaft.
Some even head with serial numbers are GREY too...they are that good now!
I have customer brought in a RFE with serial numbers to check the specs...it's way off. Called Callway and gave them the serial number and they said it legit but loft are totally different that what's on their record and it wasn't came from the retailer they sold it to.

Please dont go scaring a guy with completely false information. His club is likely real. For instance, i purchased a X-Hot Pro from The PGA Tour SuperStore... about as legit of a retailer you can get. New club, in the plastic... NO SERIAL NUMBER.
All depends where in production they were if they got a serial number or not, my XHot Pro 13.5 degree was very early in production and did not receive a serial number.

Please call callaway customer service to confirm. Anything possible, I'm just speaking to warn people that there are a lot of fake and grey head out there and don't ignore it if we don't want to get burn.
    And I'm speaking from experiences.
In the past some tour issue has no serial...not that I know of lately.
To make it clear...we are still talking about the first post. It's a X HOT PRO DRIVER for 155 quid. Selling it cheap is 1 thing, selling it as a lost on a current hot item doesn't compute any decent business. 'To good to be true'.

My 14.5 3deep came from Golfsmith, no serial number either. They may but something on the labels from the OEM, but I personally do not have any numbers on the head of mine.

Yeah, that's just not true. I am a legitimate Callaway reseller (and Callaway staff pro) and only half our stock on the shelf has SN's. A noteable one being the X-Hot Pro. The Word 'PRO' is located exactly where the serial number is on the normal one. Down here, demo stock, is just retail stock (all our demo drivers have serial numbers).

understand what you are saying, but sometimes you can get bargains on ebay.

sounds legit to me. besides, isn't 155 GBP = to $249 USD? the price doesn't sound too good to be true.

We can't even get the speeder 6.2 tour specs shaft on that price.

I've gotten woods from Callaway's tour department without serial numbers but they've always got the shaft band sticker but even if it didn't I deal direct with Callaway. Above poster is also correct as a lot of Callaway woods in the fitting carts have NO serial #'s & I've seen a bunch of original Razr Fit drivers with no serial numbers that were actually tour issued just like the FT 3 Tour tour issued drivers. So far my experience with Callaway is if it's 'new' or 'pre-released' product it will not always have a serial number. As I said before when I got my FT Optiforce 440 drivers in late July/early August 1 had no serial number & the other one had the TC serial, my FT 5 TH (H on hosel for HCG) also doesn't have a serial number. Callaway is strange like that but to go & say if there's no serial number it's fake isn't always the case as there's ton of REAL Callaway woods lacking serial numbers. There are good fakes out there but some of the tall tale signs is to check the logos/colors of the graphics/paint scheme, also check specs/head weight /loft, hit it against a XHP 3 wood you know is legit & if your numbers are way off then maybe there's something fishy. But I'm with the majority of the posters, it's probably legit.

    4. Where is the serial number on my Callaway club?
The serial numbers for Callaway clubs are located on the heels of their clubheads near the hosel. Please note that the serial number for a set of Callaway irons will only be on the clubhead of the 8 iron. Additionally, at this time Callaway is only serializing the 3 woods and 3H hybrids in our fairway wood and hybrid lines.

Grey is not fake. Grey means real head that didn't passed the QC and somebody bought that and sell it back on the bay or internet.
Again, no real information on X Hot PRO DRIVER S/N...
So the best advice I can again give you is to check the specs (swing weight, length, loft, etc) and a simple phone call to make sure you won't regret it later.
If all are good, than you got a killer's deal.
